Writing ...real life dramas!

Today I was at school. The fire bell rang. But I did not hear it but then I saw the classes on the field because Mr Stenning's smoke alarm was dusty. But Mr Cronin came out of his office and told the teachers it is fine to go back to class. When we went back to class we saw the fire truck and we got to go and see the truck. But when we were going to see the firetruck, it was going back to the fire station.

This morning an exciting thing happened. I heard fire bells. I saw everyone on the field and I waited for a long time. When Mr Kevin said to go to our room, but that wasn't it. As we saw a fire fighter.

When I came to school guess what I saw… a whole laod of people were crowded on the field! after a while Mr cronin came and we  were all allowed to go back to class, but it wasn’t over for us because we got to go throgh the backdoor and see the fire truck!

when i got to school i heard a ring. i did not know what it was. then i saw kids outside. so i went too. we had to wait a long time. after a while mr cronin came and said you can go back to class now. but it was not over for us. We got to go right from the class and have a close up look.

The starting points of the daily 5


So far we have...
*Read to self
* Read to someone
* Word word
*Read to the teacher
* Reading tasks on iPads / chromebooks

 In class we have spent lots of time establishing what children look like and sound like, when they are engaged in the daily 5 activities.
This is a great picture that shows what engaged reading to self is all about!!!
We had to look at a specific checklist to help us see it in action.
 This is a great example of reading to a buddy.
Wonderful word work is also established...

WOW!!!!
Groundbreaking news.

* Congratulations to Shayla who this week learned to independently ride a bike for the first time.

* Cohen who managed 7 whole seconds unaided riding (Without training wheels)

* Poppy and Ashtyn-Rose who are taking to the balance bike scooting like a penguin through water!

* Also Grayson, Tyson and Logan who actually could join the nitro circus with their jumping ability over ramps!


 Checking our helmets are correctly on. 

 We have used a range of media including paint, oil pastel with dye and photography to explore our unique portraits.




I selected my skin and hair colour carefully, to look like me!
