Timetabled events

What's On - Term Three!

* Week 2 Friday - Shrek dress rehearsal.

* Week 3 Monday -Wed Shrek performances.

* Week 5 Tuesday / Thursday Constable Dave coming in to talk about keeping ourselves safe.

* Week 5 Friday (26th Aug) Teacher Only Day.     SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED!

* Week 6 Thursday Learning conferences.

* Week 6 Friday (2nd Sept) Junior Cross-country from 12pm -3pm.

* Week 9 Friday (23rd Sept) last day of term.


What's On - Term One!

* Triathlon Thursday 10th March - come along and show your support!!

* Swimming on Monday after morning tea - Please ensure all items of clothing are labeled. Togs and towel must be sent in a plastic bag. Goggles can be worn if desired.


* Music on Tuesday after lunch.


* Library on Thursday - Please return library book bag each week, by Monday.


* Bike skills on Friday morning - (starting week 3 as Whakatau is at that time week 2)


* Curriculum PE on Thursday. Please ensure your child has suitable black multipurpose shoes for running and active living. Children can wear bare feet, but the field is prone to prickles. No slip-on /backless shoes. If you have purchased shoes with laces...it is time to start teaching the skill of lace fastening. Thanks!


* Assembly whole school assembly is on Friday afternoon at 2.15. You are welcome to come along. 1 child a week receives a certificate for achievements and I will inform you the day before incase you would like to come along to cheer!


* Poem book - Poems will be completed each Friday. On occasion the poem books will be brought home to share. Please enjoy reading them with your child, then return to school on the following Monday.


* Sun hats and sunblock. All children must have a school sunhat. It is a compulsory item for all of term 1 and 4. 



* Wherever possible, please send your child with a 'nude' lunchbox. Avoid using plastic bags and wrappers etc. We are working as a school to reduce, reuse and recycle.

* Brain food can be placed on our classroom windowsill for the morning, with a named water bottle. It can be a whole piece of fruit or fruit pieces in a washable pot.
